Relaxation Massage

During a Relaxation Massage traditional Swedish Massage strokes are used with long gliding strokes, kneading of tissues, and some frictioning at various tendons and ligaments in order to soothe the body and mind from head to toe leaving you feeling relaxed and balanced. Due to the emphasis on full body coverage during massage less time is available to treat the deep layers of the body so there is less emphasis on working out serious adhesions or “knots”, Trigger Points that radiate pain, or underlying painful spasms in the muscle tissue. This does make it less effective than a Deep Tissue Massage with regards to healing your muscular system but there are still substantial health benefits to a relaxation massage.

Relaxation Massage benefits include:

6.    Providing a time to focus on self for self-care and body awareness
